Maegan Hill-Carroll is an artist and writer based in Vancouver, BC. She holds an MFA from UCLA and a BFA from the University of Manitoba where she grew up building houses. Her writing has been published in Fillip and the Chapess. Her work explores the intersection of happenstance and magic. She plays with the edges of photographic practice using paint, sculptural intervention, video and spoken words. She is represented by Wil Aballe Art Projects. Recent exhibitions include DUCT DUCK PUCE at WAAP and DRUNK at Vinegar Art Projects in Birmingham, Alabama. She has been making work collaboratively with Ann Trondson shown as Picture Ball at River House Arts in Toledo, Ohio, Picture Ball Also at Dream Clinic in Columbus Ohio and Picture Ball Too at the Art Fair in Detroit in the Boyer Campbell Building.
